 1. Why EASY3CALL's products are inexpensive? Does the product use some cheap components?

All of our product's design is based on a single ARM9E common CPU and we use general components to design the outside circuit. ARM9E is power enough to convert analog voice into IP packet for internet transport but it's inexpensive so that's why we can get the best performance and the lowest cost simultaneously.

2. Why we need two Ethernet ports?
|
|
If you just have only one Internet access Jack in your office table, then you need a mini switch including at least two ports for connecting your PC or if you do not have a SOHO router in your home, you need a mini router including at least two ports for connecting your PC. All our products have two 10/ 100M Ethernet ports that can be configured as either switched or routed ports. So with two Ethernet ports of our products, there is no need for you to buy another more switch or router to connect your PC if you have only one Internet access jack in your home or office.

3. What is the difference between the LAN port and WAN port ?
|
|
The WAN Port is used to connect internet or intranet, the LAN port is used to connect your PC or laptop.

4. How to upgrade the firmware?
|
|
In Web configuration:
Click "Upgrade firmware" in the web configuration page, and then click "Browse..."to choose the correct firmware file in your disk. Please note that the updated firmware is in .bin extension. Finally click "Upgrade firmware" button to upgrade.

5. How to use the IVR function?
|
|
You can use IVR function to check and set the network parameters by picking up the handset and dial *## to enter IVR menu. |

| 6. How to reset to factory default? |
|
In Web configuration:
Click "Reset to default" in the web configuration page, and reboot the device
BY IVR:
Dial "*##" to enter the voice menu, and fallow the voice prompt.

7. How to set the IP assignment type via keypad?
|
|
Enter IVR main menu and press key No."1" to enter"IP mode" submenu, and fallow the prompt to select "DHCP" or "Static IP" or"PPPOE"
|

8. How can I know the IP address?
|
|
Enter IVR main menu and press key"2" to enter"IP Address" submenu, and the device will prompt you its IP address automatically.

9. How to change the LAN port MAC address?
|
|
You can use the"MAC Address Clone"function. |

| How to use GIX 101' s Lifeline function ? |
|
GIX101 supports Lifeline function, you can place PSTN and VOIP calls. Firstly, you need to connect the GIX 101' s Phone port to your analogue phone, then connect the landline to the GIX 101' s Line port. You can receive PSNT and VOIP calls. When you want to place a PSTN calls, you can first press # to switch to the PSTN line and then place your call as you normal did.
